ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Consulting Project
The ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Consulting Pr
oject aims to help SMEs in the ASEM region to figure out eco-innovation related technology demand and quantify the economic and environmental benefits through on-site assessments and consultation made by dispatched ASEIC consultants. In 2016, ASEIC plans to run the consulting program for the local SMEs in Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines, and also launch a new follow-up program in Malaysia for the purpose of enhancing SMEs’ awareness of eco-innovation. 
  
ASEM Inclusive Eco-Innovation Program
The ASEM Inclusive Eco-Innovation Program in 2016 is to promote eco-innovation technology cooperation among SMEs in ASEM region. In this year, target countries for off-line matching service are Hungary, Indonesia, Laos and Korea. The online service to register and to search eco-innovation of SMEs is also available at www.asein.aseic.org, which is ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Network (ASEIN).

ASEM Eco-Innovation Index (ASEI) 2016
ASEM Eco-Innovation Index (ASEI) evaluates the eco-innovation performance of ASEM member states and serves as a basis for future strategy development on spreading and improving eco-innovation in Asia-Europe region. In 2016, ASEIC will form cooperative networks with ASEM members to accumulate data on eco-innovation and strengthen its joint research. Moreover, ASEI will be developed into a study that could assist implementation and monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Asia-Europe, and promoted to the global community.

Global Eco-Innovation Forum 2016
Importance of eco-innovation is rising as means to combat climate change and achieve the global efforts according to the Paris Agreement. To raise awareness and tackle issues for SMEs to pursue sustainable growth and find opportunities through eco-innovation in post-2020 era, ASEIC is holding the Global Eco-Innovation Forum in Seoul, focusing on “Enhancing SME’s Eco-innovation Readiness in Post-2020”.

Green Business Center
Starting year 2016, Green Business Center (GBC) is planning to newly initiate cooperative programs with KUKM, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of Indonesia, while continuing the implementation of the current support programs for tenant SMEs of GBC. Also, GBC will enhance its role on exchange and matching of technologies between Korea-Indonesia eco-technology SMEs. In addition, for the purpose to expand its role as a bridge between Europe and Asia, GBC will accelerate its effort to establish another center in the European region.

ASEIC Newsletter
To widely promote the activities and progress of ASEIC programs, we will regularly post our “ASEIC Newsletter 2016” to relevant organizations and individual subscribers. Also, ASEIC’s main activities will be periodically updated on our SNS pages, such as, Facebook and Naver Blog, in order to domestically and internationally enhance the recognition of “ASEIC”.
