[Project Announcement] Green Eco-preneurship Accelerated Program 2013 in Cambodia

 “You are invited to find an opportunity to create value via eco-preneurship!”
 
For prospective Cambodian entrepreneurs who want to pave the road for green growth in Cambodia: Green Eco-preneurship Accelerated Program (GEAP) is a 10-week Intensive Program for green eco-preneurship training. It will help you to catalyze your ideas into a more environment-friendly business through eco-innovation and entrepreneurship.


Course 1. For teams with business ideas or product prototypes

If you are in a team that is in the early stage of business or has either a business idea or product prototype, you could follow up for nine weeks to develop your business model in practice and write a business plan for investment after the first week of the boot camp

Ten-week Program = One-week Intensive Training of Global Entrepreneurship (Boot Camp) + nine week-follow-up program (Once a week of business coaching, skill workshops, business plan writing clinics, opportunity for group members to meet and discuss/develop their ideas, and model business plan competition at the end of the 10th week)

The program is designed to empower the participants to become entrepreneurs who can lead economic development in developing countries. One-week Intensive Training is mandatory for all participating team members. For more information regarding the intensive training, please see Course 3

▶ Maximum number of students: Up to 25 students in 6 groups (selected on the basis of each group’s business idea and qualification)

Course 2. For individuals (only for those under 30 years old)

If you are not with a team but are interested in learning social-entrepreneurship to help solving poverty and environmental problems in rural communities in Cambodia through experience, then join this course. It would help you to strengthen your capacity for leadership, change your mindset as a young entrepreneurship, and find business opportunities that help solving problems in your community

▶ Ten-week program = leadership camp + community stay + business model development + prototype building + market test + presentation skill coaching

▶ Pre-requisite: Under 30 years old and passable English 

▶ Maximum number of students: 15

Course 3. One-week intensive training (boot camp): August 26~30, 2013-08-13

One-week intensive training on eco-preneurship is open to all nationalities with qualification. For those who neither have a business idea/prototype, nor an established team, can only take the first week, boot camp program.

▶ Boot camp program = welcoming ceremony + in-class lectures + practicum business classes + group workshop on idea to business + professor’s critique at the end of each day + model business competition and graduation ceremony

▶ Classes: Entrepreneurship Mindset, Impact of Green Entrepreneurship on the National Economy, Development of Idea to Green Business, Business Plan, How to Raise Capital, Finance, How to Find a Company, Company Operation, Entrepreneurial Law, Business Ethics, Marketing and International Business

▶ Pre-requisite: passable English is essential; College students or graduates, business people, professors and teachers, and public servants preferred

Eligibility

a) Open to all undergraduate and graduate students (irrespective of academic majors) and graduates, employees in private sectors, prospective leaders, NGO staff and government planners

b) Must have a strong desire to be an entrepreneur to help their respective communities to alleviate poverty, enhance economic growth and foster entrepreneurship-friendly policies

c) Working knowledge of English is essential to participate since all lectures and discussions are delivered in English



Registration Fee

▶ $10 for course 1 and course 3

▶ Fee exempted for people in extreme hardship
