 On April 24^th, ASEIC and the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office Seoul co-hosted the “Information Session on the Recruitment of a delegation for the Luxembourg Circular Economy Hotspot” in the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) in Seoul, Korea. 11 representatives from firms in the eco-innovation field participated in the event.

As part of ASEIC’s 2017 Asia-Europe Eco-Innovation Technology Matching Program, this Delegation Support Program is an effort to expand eco-innovation cooperation between local and Benelux (Belgium, Netherland and Luxembourg) country firms.

 

Picking up the baton from the Netherlands in 2015, Luxembourg is to host the 2017 “Circular Economy Hotspot” which is held to gather government officials, experts and firms related to the circular economy policy, discuss the way forward and provide firms with opportunities for business-to-business (b2b) and cooperation in related areas.

The delegation of Korean firms is expected to enhance understanding on the EU’s circular economy strategy and support programs and establish networks with local firms to form various shapes of eco-innovation technology cooperation.
